Michigan Clean Water Corps (MiCorps) - Cooperative Lakes Monitoring Program (CLMP)
Rennie Lake is annually enrolled in the MiCorps-CLMP for water quality and lake habitat monitoring and assessment. The MiCorps-CLMP is the statewide volunteer lakes monitoring program managed by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy and administered under contract by Michigan State University. Approximately 250-300 of the 11,000 inland lakes in Michigan participate in the MiCorps-CLMP each year. The Rennie Lake community has participated in the MiCorps-CLMP since 2015, building a long-term data base for water quality status and trends assessment. The RLA Water Quality and Lake Level Committee continue the annual monitoring under the MiCorps-CLMP, deeming it an important purpose of the RLA mission. The RLA is able to do so with the funding afforded by membership dues. Go to the MiCorps-CLMP website (https://micorps.net/) for more information about the program.
